Rob Parsons, OBE, MA is an international keynote speaker and bestselling author of over 25 books. He is the founder and chairman of Care for the Family, a national charity which aims to promote family life and help those facing family difficulties. Launched in 1988, Care for the Family is now one of the UK’s leading family charities.
Rob has been a keynote speaker at many corporate and family life events around the world. Corporate clients have included Alcatel, AstraZeneca, AXA, Barclays Bank, BBC, Birmingham Social Services, Boots, BT, BUPA, Chambers of Commerce, Costains, DTI, DVLA, Ford, Gerling NCM, Halifax plc, Heath Lambert, Honda UK, IMB, KPMG, Lloyds TSB, National Grid, NHS Trusts, npower, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Sir Robert McAlpine and Uganda Telecom. He has also addressed audiences at the UK Houses of Parliament, the National Assembly for Wales, the Northern Ireland Assembly and the Scottish Parliament. He has served on inter-parliamentary committees on family and business issues and has addressed cross-party groups and committees. He has also been invited to meet with government leaders, including, in Africa, Zambia, Uganda, and the President of Swaziland and his cabinet.
Rob’s books have been translated into many different languages. They include The Heart of Success, a ground-breaking book on work-life balance, The Money Secret, a book of practical wisdom on managing finances, and The Sixty Minute series of books on parenthood, marriage and family life. His latest book, The Heart of Communication, has been described as “a masterclass on public speaking”.
In 2012, Rob was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours list for services to family life. Rob is married to Dianne and has two adult children and five grandchildren.
